GLENN ACOSTA | Biography

Glenn Acosta currently serves as Board Vice President.  In prior years, Mr. Acosta represented TCWD as a Director of the South Orange County Wastewater Authority, a joint powers agency serving more than 500,000 homes and businesses, and as a Commissioner on the Santiago Aqueduct Commission.

With over 25 years of experience in the wastewater and water resources industry, Mr. Acosta brings a strong background in engineering, public outreach, and environmental policy. His career includes significant contributions to wastewater treatment and solid waste management, with much of his professional tenure spent at the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts. There, he led public outreach and government affairs for major infrastructure initiatives, earning national recognition for his efforts.

In addition to his communications and policy work, Mr. Acosta served as an operations engineer at one of the nation's largest wastewater treatment facilities. He also represented the agency in regulatory and legislative affairs and held leadership positions in various regional and statewide organizations.

Mr. Acosta holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and is a licensed chemical engineer in the State of California. He and his wife have called Trabuco Canyon home for over 20 years, where they raised their two children.
